About the OfficeJet Pro 8025
The HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 is an All in one printer that can make scan, copy, print, and fax your documents. The printer comes in a plastic build with a gray-white color approach on each side. In terms of aesthetics, the printer looks decent and offers a premium look for your home-office usage.
It also features a LED touch screen on one side of the chassis that pretty much covers all the options you’ll get in this printer. On the top, you have an automatic document feeder that can scan your documents in just seconds.
Set-up Process
When it comes to the set-up process, HP printers are the easiest one out there. As with the OfficeJet Pro 8025, it is surprisingly simple and easy to operate. Here’s a step-by-step process of how you can do this.
- Remove the Printer from the packaging and clear out all the tapes (there’s a lot)
- Connect your printer with the power cord and press the power button
- On the display, select your Language, Country Time, and Wi-Fi settings
- Open the front white lid and open the container box to install the cartridges
- Wait for the cartridges section to align in the center, it will automatically come to its place
- Remove any plastic protection from the cartridges and install it by matching the color
- Close the lid and your printer will automatically scan the cartridges
- Once done, it will ask you to load a plain letter or A4 paper
This is basically a test that each HP printer performs for the first time. Once the printer is done with the printing, it will ask you to load the same paper on the scanner section. Do this and now it will ask you to download the latest “Get Smart App” from HP. You can either scan the QR code or go to 123.hp.com to download the files.
Performance and Printing Experience
The HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 is equipped with Inkjet technology which supports up to 4800×1200 prints per resolution. The company states that the printer can print 20,000 pages per life cycle meaning 800 pages per day. That being said, the printer can be easily used with a large company enterprise as well.
You’ll also get a separate section where you can copy documents such as photos, ID cards, etc. There are tons of other features you can find in this segment such as a 2-sided copy option, preview content, resizing printing, color layout, and more. All of these options are available in the touch interface as well as the smartphone app.
Overall, the printing experience is great and does the job well enough compared to many expensive printers out there.

Document Printing
The OfficeJet Pro 8025 is equipped with HP’s ample input tray that offers exceptional performance in light-headed printing tasks. Thanks to its ergonomic design, the printer can handle 225 sheets on the input tray and 60 sheets on the output tray. This is super helpful as you don’t have to load sheets after every iteration.
The OfficeJet Pro 8025 has the capability to print 29 pages per minute in black and white and 10 pages per minute for colored pages. However, the actual printing cycle depends on your documentation. Our testing indicates that a full-page document printing can give up to 10 pages and full-color printing can offer only 2 prints per minute.
That’s a lot less than what the company states. But it’s still a lot faster than some of the professional printing machines out there.
Touch Screen Interface
The next big feature in the printer is its 2.7-inch color touchscreen interface. This is the main interface of the printer and controls all the options you’ll get with this. Some advanced options, however, are only available on the desktop client and mobile app.
The screen can be also tilted around a 45’ angle which is super convenient if you’re using it under the desk or in a standing orientation. The menu and options on the touch screen are intuitive and the screen itself offers large menu buttons so you can easily navigate them.
Ink Cartridges
Now comes the main part, Ink Cartridges are the main thing why people are reluctant to buy printers in the first place. The same goes for the HP OfficeJet Pro 8025, it uses the company proprietary cartridges and if you use any third-party cartridges, it will simply not accept it.
So in a way, if the printer is affordable, the price will be significantly high if you buy the cartridges. And that’s what happens with every color printer out there, no matter the manufacturer.
In our case, the 8025 uses the InkJet 910 colors. You can buy the standard package which covers around 300 pages or the 910XL cartridges that extends the printing up to 800 pages.
Final Verdict:
The HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 is a real deal-breaker, thanks to its remarkable performance and attractive price tag. It’s a cheap option for someone who wants All-in-one capabilities under just $200. It comes with a lot of significant features including Wi-Fi and Ethernet coverage for connectivity. The build quality is great and the overall aesthetics are nice. Although the Ink Cartridges are easy to find, remember that the price will go a bit up if you require frequent printing. For this, it’s better to register yourself in the HP InkJet program. It’s a great deal for regular users
